Our team

Dr. Tony Ellery
Dr. Tony Ellery received his BVetMed from London University, and his doctorate from Zurich University. Since 1974, he has occupied positions of increasing seniority in research, development, marketing and sales in the pharmaceutical industry.

Most recently, Tony headed Global Development for Novartis Pharma’s $5 billion Mature Products business, and then global Life Cycle Management (LCM). He led a major project on LCM to strengthen the company focus on LCM (Pharma, OTC and Generics).

Tony has served on the Ciba Research Advisory Board and the Novartis Pharma Development Management Board. He has been a member of the faculty of the University of Basel, lecturing on lifecycle management, and has spoken at many conferences in Europe and the U.S. on lifecycle, project and portfolio management.

Tony retired from Novartis in October 2008 to become a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry in the area of lifecycle management.
